Audition overview 

Auditions for all principal roles, supporting roles, ensemble roles and backing vocalists will be held at Northcote Rugby Club, Recreation Drive, Birkenhead on: 

• Thursday 27th March 2025, 6.00pm until 10.00pm 

• Friday 28th March 2025, 6.00pm until 10.00pm 

• Saturday 29th March 2025, 1.00pm until 5.00pm 

We are asking all auditionees who are able to please attend the dance workshop, which will be held on: 

• Saturday 29th March 2025, 10.00am until 12.00pm 

If you have a disability, impairment, or any other circumstance that would make learning and performing the audition dance unsafe or unrewarding for you as an artist, please let us know on your audition form that you will not be attending the workshop. This will not impact your ability to be cast in the show in any way – we are actively seeking a diverse cast, and welcome auditions from adult performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, body types, ages, and abilities.  

Near the end of the dance workshop, an additional dance sequence will be taught in the room for those who wish to further showcase their technique and skills as a dancer outside of the pre learnt material.  This is not mandatory. 

We are also asking everyone auditioning to please be prepared for the possibility of a recall, which we will advise performers of on an individual basis. Recalls will be held on: 

• Sunday 30th March 2025, 10.00am until 5.00pm 

If you are unavailable to attend in-person auditions between 27th - 30th March 2025, you are welcome to submit a self-tape video submission instead. Instructions for filming and submitting self-tapes can be found in the Priscilla audition information pack.

What should you prepare for the audition 

The Priscilla audition information pack details all the requirements of auditions generally, and for each specific role available. Please review this pack carefully, as there are specific details on what music to prepare for your audition, depending on which role you are auditioning for. 

You can download the music excerpts (sheet music + one accompaniment track for Adam’s Kylie medley) for each role below. These are password-protected. The password for these files can be located on the audition booking page: go.oncehub.com/priscilla

We are asking everyone auditioning who is able (with the exception of those only auditioning as a backing vocalist) to please attend the dance workshop on Saturday 29th March from 10.00am until 12.00pm. To prepare for this workshop, please review and learn the dance video, available on the material audition page. On the day of the workshop, you will perform the dance combination in small groups. The choreography focuses on "moving and grooving", giving you the opportunity to add personal flair based on the role(s) you're auditioning for. 

Please note that if you are auditioning for a principal role and also wish to be considered for an ensemble role, you are only required to book one audition slot.   

You are welcome to audition for more than one role. However, if you have limited time to prepare, we recommend you consider focusing primarily on the material for your preferred role and preparing just one of the excerpts from your second role.  

You should also download the audition form below and complete this prior to your audition. On the day of your audition, please also bring a recent headshot and your theatrical CV (if you have one) to accompany your audition form. 

Location and commitment 

Rehearsals for Priscilla will commence from the last week of June 2025, and continue through to the 12th of September. The venue for rehearsals will be confirmed shortly after the casting process concludes. The season at the Civic Theatre will run from 12th September - 5th October 2025.
