STEWART ADAM MCKENSY

Stewart is a Canadian actor best known for his portrayal of Lola in Kinky Boots on the U.S. tour and in Toronto, Canada.

He is extremely excited to be coming to New Zealand, sharing this amazing message of love and acceptance.

Originally from Toronto, Canada Stewart was a member of the Kinky Boots U.S. national tour, (Toronto Mirvish Prods.) and a very successful run at Vancouver Arts Club where audiences fell in love with Stewart starring as “Lola”.

A graduate of the Award winning Sheridan College Music Theatre/Performance program (Come From Away) Stewart has been part of the creative process of many works in development including Riot (Renaissance Theatre) & Dixon Road (The Musical Stage Co/Obsidian Theatre). Selected Theatre credits include: The Wizard of Oz (U.S. National Tour), Hairspray, The Producers (Mirvish Prods.), “Bob Crewe” in Jersey Boys (Thousand Islands Playhouse) and “Dryer/Bus” in the Dora Mavor Moore Award Nominated Caroline, or Change (Musical Stage Co./Obsidian Theatre). Other career highlights include playing “Beast” / Beauty and the Beast, “Sebastian” / The Little Mermaid and The Buddy Holly Story (The Globe Theatre) and the Canadian Premiere of James and the Giant Peach (Young People’s Theatre). At the Shaw and Stratford Festivals, Stewart was seen in multiple and diverse shows from Horse And His Boy to Brigadoon, Cyrano De Bergerac to Me and My Girl and from To Kill a Mockingbird to My One and Only. Stewart has toured the world as Lead Vocalist and opened new ships for Celebrity Cruise Lines and Guest Vocalist for Princess Cruises and Royal Caribbean.
