Do You Hear the People Sing.

It took nearly twenty years for this epic musical to return to the big stage in Auckland. Audiences were not disappointed with it's all New Zealand cast and creatives. The NZ Herald review headline said it all 'Les Miserables c'est magnifique' and what a way for Auckland Music Theatre to celebrate their Centennial. Javert was played by Hayden Tee, New Zealand's leading international musical theatre star. Stand out performances from James McKay as Jean Valjean, Rebecca Wright as Fantine, the Thenardier's, Theresa Wells and Hamish McGregor, Alexandra Francis as Cosette, Bevan Williams as Enjolras and Emily Robinson as Eponine. We were also delighted to welcome Will Martin back to the musical theatre stage as Marius. This production was truly world class with nearly 40,000 people seeing the production in it's four week run. It was only made possible by the commitment of over 200 people to ensure every detail was to the highest production standard.
