Auckland embraced Evita, setting record ticket sales for the Bruce Mason Centre. Heather Wilcock and Gabby West both played the role of Evita with Matt Pike reprising his wonderful rendition of Che for the Auckland season. West End star and local personality Russell Dixon playing General Peron. The performance of the large ensemble in the iconic songs captivated audiences every night.
